Building Exceptional Baskets & Auction Packages Together

The success of the St. Ben’s Bash depends on the generosity and involvement of our community. One of the most meaningful ways families can support the event is by contributing items that become part of our silent auction and raffle baskets!

Gift Gathering Parties are a fun, social way for families to bring auction items together, connect with each other, and help us create beautiful, high-value baskets and packages for the St. Ben’s Bash on May 16!

How Gift Gathering Parties Work

Gift Gathering Parties are hosted by parent volunteers. At each gathering, families are invited to bring donated items - big or small - that will be transformed into the baskets and auction packages featured at the Bash!

Here’s how it works:

1. Families Bring Donations: Families bring items that will be used to build baskets or auction packages. All donation sizes are appreciated. If you are looking for a guideline, donations valued over $50 help ensure strong auction appeal, but every gift makes a difference.
2. Support from Local Donors: Families with vacation homes or Airbnb properties may choose to donate stays, which make excellent high-value auction items. Service-based businesses — such as photographers, home improvement professionals, beauty and wellness providers, or coaches — are encouraged to donate service packages that become popular auction offerings.
   If you have access to high-end swag, promotional items, or vendor connections, those can be powerful additions to baskets and premium packages as well.
3. The Planning Team Assembles Baskets: After the parties, our planning team combines the donated items into high-value, beautifully packaged baskets and auction lots. This step is critical — and we need volunteers to help assemble these packages so they look curated and professional.
4. Items Are Featured at the St. Ben’s Bash: Once assembled, these baskets and package items are showcased at the St. Ben’s Bash. Highlighting contributions from our community reinforces our spirit of collaboration and helps raise even more for our school!

• Gift Cards – Local restaurants, retail shops, spas, entertainment venues
• Sports & Entertainment – Tickets to games, concerts, or local attractions
• Home & Lifestyle Items – Home goods, décor, tech gadgets, kitchen accessories
• Outdoor & Seasonal Items – Beach, pool, patio, or backyard items
• Kids & Family – Games, toys, sports equipment, family experiences
• Experiences & Packages – Travel packages, VIP access, private lessons, golf outings
• Services – Photography sessions, beauty services, coaching packages
• High-Value Items – Vacation stays, premium merchandise, curated luxury sets

Other Ways to Help!

• Volunteers Needed to Help Create Packages: We need volunteers to help assemble the donated items into auction packages and baskets after the Gift Gathering Parties. This work is essential to creating the high-quality auction items that drive fundraising success. Whether you enjoy organizing, wrapping, arranging, or designing visually appealing packages, your help makes a big difference. • Amazon Wish List: If you prefer to donate through an online registry, you can choose an item from our Amazon Wish List, and our team will take care of it for you!
• Make a Donation: If you’d like to make a donation but can’t attend a Gift Gathering Party, you can still contribute. Fill out the donation form below, or contact the Bash Committee at dtd@saintbenedicts.com for assistance with larger items, questions, or sponsorship information!
• Volunteer Your Time: Volunteering your time is one of the most valuable ways to support the Bash, because it keeps event costs down and helps more dollars go directly back to St. Ben’s! Whether you can give one hour or take on a lead role, your help makes the night run smoothly and makes the fundraiser stronger!
