About Us

Welcome to St. Benedict School. Founded a century ago by two Franciscan Sisters, our PK3–8 school proudly continues their legacy of academic excellence, faith formation, and community. Today, we are recognized among Western New York’s top private schools and ranked as the number one private school in Amherst by Business First.

St. Benedict School delivers a rigorous and well-rounded STREAM education, with Spanish beginning in Grade 1 and Chinese offered in Grade 5. Students also benefit from a full complement of Art, Music, Physical Education, and Regents-level courses. Beyond the classroom, our students compete in a wide range of Catholic League sports, including swimming, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, and cross-country.

Our enrollment continues to grow, with two classes per grade level and available wraparound care to support families. At St. Benedict School, we are dedicated to cultivating the academic, spiritual, social, and moral development of every student in a safe and nurturing environment.
